I started undergraduate study in philosophy in UCD in 1991. My BA was completed there and in 1996 I completed an MA in Maynooth University. I undertook further postgraduate study in Maynooth which faltered some years ago but is now nearing completion in Mary Immaculate College, at the University of Limerick.
I have taught variously in the Pontifical University at Maynooth; the Queen’s University of Belfast; the Maryvale Institute, Birmingham; the Redemptoris Mater Seminary, Dundalk; St Malachy’s Seminary, Belfast; the Dominican Studium, Dublin, and the Priory Institute, Dublin.
My publications have appeared in the Yearbook of the Irish Philosophical Society, the Maynooth Postgraduate Record, Maynooth Philosophical Papers and The Irish contribution to European scholastic thought (Dublin: Four Courts Press, 2011)
I am/have also been a member of the Irish Philosophical Society, the Royal Institute of Philosophy, the American Catholic Philosophical Association, the (Irish) Guild of Catholic Scholars, the Cáirde Thomáis Naofa and the Third Order of St Dominic. I have served additionally on the Committees of the IPS, GCS, and the Iona Institute Northern Ireland.
